7Seas Technologies Enters Retail Market with city-based Comprint

7seas Technologies Limited, a leading independent IP-based game developing company headquartered in Hyderabad, today announced that it has entered the game retail market in India with the launch of six popular budgeted casual computer game CD packs.

7seas Technologies, already synonymous with its online and mobile games on its popular portals www.onlinerealgames.com, www.neodelight.com and www.mobizill.com, has awarded the exclusive rights to publish and distribute these game CD packs across India to leading game publishing and distribution company ‘Comprint’. Comprint being one of the largest games publishing and distribution companies in India will take these games to all the leading stores in the country. These games will be available all over India by May 2nd, 2009.

“We are launching six casual computer game CD packs in genres including Action, Sports, Kids, Fun, Puzzle, and Cricket in the Indian market today. India is a price-sensitive market and therefore we have priced these packs very competitively. This will also help thwart piracy,” said Mr. L Maruti Sanker, Managing Director of 7seas Technologies Limited.

Mr. Sanker further said that these six CD packs, each containing 20 games, are priced at Rs. 99. A special combo pack comprising all the six packs for Rs 399 is also available. These games are now available at Comprint’s network of more than 600 large format retail stores including Landmark, Big Bazaar, Music World, Odyssey, and Planet M.

“All these six casual computer CD game packs are targeted at kids and youth and those young at heart. Our main objective is to attract game enthusiasts who are wanting to play such games on their normal household PCs in offline mode. These games will suit well those in rural and semi-urban areas which don’t have proper internet facilities, these packs can be gifted to the kids on their birthdays by parents” Mr. Sanker said.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satyanarayana, General Manager of Hyderabad-based Comprint, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with 7seas Technologies for publishing and distributing of their 100 plus game titles through our retail channels.” These games are India’s Most Budge Series Pack .“Comprint is also gearing up to open its own shop-in-shops in leading retail stores such as Big Bazaar. We plan to launch nearly 30 shop-in-shops exclusively for retailing game CDs and DVDs under our brand ‘GameX’ during this calendar year,” he said.
